In 2021, Em’s Place was purchased from the Bachmann family by Loretta and Shawn Starck. Loretta is revered throughout the real estate industry as one of the top realtors in Montgomery, Bucks, and Philadelphia counties and brings the fire and personality to light up any room! 

Her husband Shawn Starck, brings an impressive military background, serving as Military Police for the Army National Guard and looks forward to giving back to the community and all who have served our country. 

Together, this Philadelphia power-couple is excited to build on the Bachmanns’ success and provide an unmatched dining experience for the Port Richmond community and all patrons of Em’s Place!
